CADET programme

It is BPeSA Western Cape's responsibility, working with its Government partners, to ensure that the labour pool in the Western Cape is equipped with the skills it will need to compete effectively in the global marketplace for outsourced contact centre and BPO services. Expanding and deepening the labour pool - particularly by integrating previously disadvantaged communities into the labour supply chain - will maintain labour costs at competitive rates and reduce the potential for high attrition rates in the industry while at the same time empowering South Africans by giving them enhanced career options in a globally competitive industry.

We actively engage in formulating training programmes in accordance with the National Qualifications Framework with Government bodies including the Services SETA and the Department of Labour, as well as assisting with the establishment of specialist language training programmes to expand our industry's service offering.

However, our skills development strategies do not only encompass agents. We appreciate that we need to have active skills development strategies for every level of the contact centre industry, from agent to management.
