Instructions For Filling in The Member Registration Form

The CTC Member form has been designed to enable members to post their own content on our site, and keep that content updated.

Once members have created their own usernames, they will be able to come on to our site and change any content on their own page at any time.

This means that YOU are responsible for keeping your own page up to date. If you have new client wins, or move offices, or if the designated company representative leaves your company, it is up to you to update you web page.

Following are the steps on filling in the new CallingtheCape Member Form. It is very important that you follow the instructions carefully as you will not be able to upload information if mistakes are made.

The old site may have contained your company details but this WILL NOT be carried over to the new site. In the event that you do not submit the form, you will not have any listing on our website.

We therefore urge you to ensure that all fields are filled in accurately.

STEP 1:

Go to the registration form

STEP 2:

The top part of the page contains a message for new members. This is the same page that existing members will use. Please ignore this message. Each field will be dealt with separately below:

Company logo:

This is a critical area. You may only upload JPG Format logos that have a size of 100 x 100 pixels. No other size will be accepted.

Most companies will not have logos this size. Please request that the company or person that provided you with the original logo resize the logo to meet this specification. Alternatively, you may send the original logo to Rishad Ahmed from Webcity who will be able to resize it for you. You will however need to pay Rishad for this service and he will invoice you directly. Rishad can be contacted at rishad@webcity.co.za or +27 84 778 8995.

Company brochure:

If you have a brochure, use it. If you don’t, then you can use any word document or powerpoint presentation, provided you convert it first to pdf. This field will only accept pdfs.

Client case studies:

In our experience, user or client testimony is the most effective form of marketing. We have a number of such case studies on our website already. You can use a media story here, or a client testimonial, or anything that talks about your prior experience and successes. Please contact us if you need any advice on this.

These case studies too need to be in pdf format. You may have more than one case study but it needs to collated into one pdf file.

Business Overview:

The purpose of this field is for you to explain what it is that you do, how you do it, what makes you special, etc.

This field is compulsory and is limited to 300 words. There’s no feature on the website that automatically restricts you to 300 words but I will need to approve all new postings. If there’s more than 300 words I will send an email to you asking for a resubmission. Please ensure that you count the number of words.

Experience and Clients:

These fields are not compulsory but also limited to 300 words each.

Again, here you can talk about your prior experience in your own words this time, and also mention some of the clients that you have worked with in the past. It’s probably a good idea if they approve the fact that you are mentioning them here!

This field is not compulsory but allows you to include analytical information about your company.

Typical information that all companies could provide here might be:

Black-Owned, Black Empowered and Women-Owned:

Please provide percentage figures. If you are more than 50% black owned, you should put the percentage in this field. If you are less than 50% black owned, you should put it in the black empowered field.

Member Survey:

This section will not be displayed on our website and will only be used for in-house purposes.

The purpose of the survey is to enable us to provide you with a better service.

Once all members have completed the survey, it will be removed until next year.

Each field is compulsory. Simply select one of the available answers.

STEP 3:

When you have completed the member form, click “Submit”.

If you have left any compulsory fields blank, you will be asked to re submit.

Once you have submitted successfully, an email is sent to Rhomeez at CallingtheCape.

He will then approve your content on our site, provided your membership is fully paid up.

If your membership is not paid up, your content will not be displayed until it is paid up.

Provided everything is in order, Rhomeez will publish the content on to the live site.

Try to avoid leaving fields blank. If you have no information to add, use "N/a"
