Membership
What is Membership?
Our membership scheme has been constructed after detailed analysis of international best practice for industry associations in the contact centre/BPO industry. Membership was created out of a need to consolidate the Western Cape contact centre/BPO sector through a powerful unified industry body. CallingtheCape is the only industry body for this sector backed and funded by the Provincial Government of the Western Cape and the City of Cape Town. We therefore offer companies an opportunity to be represented by a single body with a united voice.
What does Membership do?
- It brings together companies with shared interests in a powerful network
- It helps raise standards in the industry to international best practice
- It shows companies that support the aims and objectives of CallingtheCape and espouse our common values
- It helps support CallingtheCape’s activities financially, to the benefit of job creation in the industry
Who is it for?
- Companies with one or more in-house/captive contact centre/BPO operations
- Contact centre/BPO outsourcers
- Professional Service Providers to the contact centre/BPO industry which may include companies involved in but not limited to the following fields: Recruitment; Training; IT Hardware and Software; Telecommunications; Property; Office Furniture; Transport services; Consultancy and other business services.
- Any public or private sector organisation that wants to create exposure for themselves or do business in the contact centre/BPO industry of the Western Cape. This includes organisations that seek to be affiliated to CallingtheCape as the industry body.
- Membership is primarily aimed at companies active in the Western Cape but may also include:
- Companies who have offices in other parts of South Africa but want to expand their operations to or create a presence in the Western Cape.
- International companies who have offices in other parts of the world but want to expand their operations to or create a presence in the Western Cape.
Membership is for companies that want the following:
- To network with other members
- The sharing of best practice
- Belonging to a strong, united community
- Credibility as a member of the industry body
